House Location Survey (Home Survey)

This type of survey or plat is often required when you are buying a home, or often as a first step if you are planning to build an addition
or a deck or a patio and need to submit a sketch or a plan showing your proposed improvements to the county or your HOA.
A house location survey will show the following
-- The house and its closest tie or setback to the front and both side yards.
-- All easements shown on the subplat or indicated in the deed.   All easements are not always shown on the subplat.  Typically easements for electric and telephone wires (underground or overhead) are not.  A title report would be necessary to show all easements.
-- All improvements... fences, sheds, walks, patios, walls etc.
-- All property corner found will be flagged/marked up

Lot Stakeout (Set your Property Corners)

A point on line is exactly that.  It is a point set on the property line.  Typically, when requested, they are set every 30 to 50 feet depending on how easy
it is to see along the property line.  If you are building a fence or a wall you may need a few POLs because you need to know where the property line is and cant see between the property corners.   If there is a tree near the property line that you want to take down you may need a couple POLs on either side
of the tree to help indicate who owns the tree.

It is our hope that through careful crafting of technology and know-how, Nova Surveys will be successful at providing our clients a better surveying product while also cutting down on some costs.

Gone Green…

Many surveying firms have several rooms devoted to storing subdivision record plats as well as copies of all the plats they have ever produced. At Nova Surveys we want to eliminate all that. Everything we have is digitally scanned, stored to the computer server and backed up to a cloud based sever system online. The only paper plats in our office are the ones being prepared for delivery to clients. And clients who prefer digital copies can opt out of paper delivery and download their own pdf copies of their plats for our web site.

Made in the USA

It's 2:00 a.m. in the morning.. do you know where your survey is??? In some firms the answer may be in China or India.  These firms attempt to save money by outsourcing their Cad drafting overseas.

At NoVA Surveys, all the work is done locally, and your survey dollars stay in the local economy.
